Reviews and Ratings
The hotel needs a refurb to bring it up to date as the rooms were like being in a school canteen and are looking very tired, in my eyes, out of service. The service was faultless, right down to the chamber maids, and they sorted everything out very quickly. The location was good for the St Ives center, although not advisable for those with walking difficulties due to the steep hill. The dining experience had good options for varying dietary needs but was buffet style, which may not be preferred during these times.
The hotel offers stunning views to Ives harbor and is good for a peaceful getaway, but the rooms are dated and the pricing may not be justified by the condition of the accommodations.
I had a delightful stay at the hotel with large rooms offering a superb view over St Ives harbour. The castle-like atmosphere was charming, although the rooms felt a bit bare. The open plan layout was flooded with light, creating a spacious and inviting ambiance.
The hotel room was disappointing, not living up to expectations for its price. The bed was small and uncomfortable, giving us both a bad back, and several amenities were missing or broken. On the bright side, the hotel looks beautiful, although we missed having a sea view.
I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at this hotel. The room had a breathtaking view and was equipped with quality amenities, although it could have been more comfortable. The service was mostly helpful and friendly, except for some confusion regarding the location. The hotel's location was ideal for exploring, offering stunning views over St Ives, though the steep walk back from the town could be challenging. The dining options were varied, catering to different tastes. Overall, a good value for money with some room for improvement.
